With an unprecedented turnout of over 200 drivers all weekend, this Wessex Championship is one for the highlight reel. Not just for the numbers, but for the quality or racing.
Coming off the back of a lockdown, my personal expectations were for drivers to be a little rusty after driving nothing but their armchairs for months, but with last months club meeting, and the staggering meetings this month, i have been nothing but impressed with the hard, clean racing we’ve seen.
Congratulations to every one of you.
The Championship tables have been collated, and trophies are being handed out, but if you want to see how you faired, championship tables are temporarily on the class documents pages on our website. These will be summarised at a later date over on our Wessex Championship page.
For now, thank you all for coming. Congratulations to our victors today and for those of you in the British Kart Championships roster, we’ll see you again in 2 weeks time for the opening round of 2021. For those of you who are not in the BKC, we’ll see you all again on 13th June for Round 5 of the 2021 CPKC Championship.
