Due to the lack of new Mojo tyres in the country at this time, the CPKC committee have had to review the tyre selection for the Rotax classes for the remaining 4 rounds of the club championship and the Rotax festival.
To that end the committee have looked at various tyre options and based on availability, cost and durability, we have decided that the nominated tyre for the club championship rounds and the Rotax Festival will be the Maxxis Sport. Anyone who has payment taken for the Mojo tyres, we are currently in the process of issuing refunds over the next coming days.
We have spoken with JAG Rotax who have very generously agreed to continue their support for the Rotax Festival, with prizes for the Junior, Senior and 177 Classes as previously advertised.
For those who have not raced on the Maxxis Sport Tyres, they are the current tyre used at Clay Pigeon Raceway in their IKR championship events with one set of tyres for 3 rounds. The performance is slightly less than a Mojo with Senior and 177 times in the 35 seconds.
The tyres are available through Clay Pigeon Raceway at a cost of approx. £124.00 including vat.
Here is the new tyre order form (Maxxis Sport) for the Rotax Festival. Practice sets available from the Thursday and the race sets will be collectable on the Saturday afternoon.
